Today, another couple of examples of Rover’s highly successful R8 range. While yesterday’s hatchback versions were badged as the 200 series, the handsome four-door saloon (white car) and Tourer estate (grey car) were badged as 400s. The system of model naming was the same as BMW’s, so the ‘420’ badge on the estate signifies a 400-series car with a 2-litre engine - although this was before BMW took over Rover. I am back in the ranks of the BMW convertible people!
I dearly loved my 2021 VW GTI, and evidently so did a lot of others because after almost 4 years it was still worth a lot. I sold it to a dealer, bought this 2013 E88 128i convertible, and put money into savings.
Also pictured, the 1990 E30 convertible I loved and cherished for 13 years (with the GTI right behind it), and the 2004 E46 convertible I owned when we lived in Florida.

Big brake job for @LeoBurr completed on his M2. New brake pads and rotors for the front and rear axle. Also installed stainless steel brake lines. Brake fluid flush and an engine oil and filter change. Now I has a hunger for some late lunch noms.

If You’ve Got a New Car, It’s a Data Privacy Nightmare
"Bad news: your car is a spy. If your vehicle was made in the last few years, you’re probably driving around in a data-harvesting machine that may collect personal information as sensitive as your race, weight, and sexual activity. Volkswagen’s cars reportedly know if you’re fastening your seatbelt and how hard you hit the brakes.
That’s according to new findings from Mozilla’s *Privacy Not Included project. The #nonprofit found that every major car brand fails to adhere to the most basic privacy and security standards in new internet-connected models, and all 25 of the brands Mozilla examined flunked the organization’s test.
#Mozilla found brands including #BMW, #Ford, #Toyota, #Tesla, and #Subaru collect #data about drivers including race, facial expressions, weight, health information, and where you drive. Some of the cars tested collected data you wouldn’t expect your car to know about, including details about sexual activity, race, and immigration status, according to Mozilla."
