I like how much less light pollution #Tulsa has in the neighborhoods where the old streetlamps have been replaced by shaped, diffused downfiring white LED planes, both in terms of glare and in uplighting. But on a night like tonight, what's normally a puddle of pale light radiating from the corner of each street corner and nothing midblock is now reflecting off the snow, and from the snow off the low ceiling overcast, and it's seriously 4PM bright out now.
@BalooUriza it was pretty surreal hitting that line driving to my first stop tonight. In Mannford right now and you cross a line just past sand springs and it gets insanely dark
@CubWiFi Yeah once you get out from under the uplit low overcast. I think it's way more noticeable for me tonight because this is the first time since the sodium lamps started getting phased out that we've really had uplit overcast at night, and could well be the first time it wasn't orange red when I've seen it in the city.
