I agree that the #osmand search sucks, below organic maps and others....
How do you use the acastus-photon app? Do you search it there first and then copy&paste it into osmand?
Btw the built-in search in #magicearth is pretty good!
@Tutanota #Chromium itself is not the problem. Look at #firefox. If you do nothing it collects your data. Use #librewolf which I miss here, and the story is different.
I also miss #mullvadbrowser and #firefox_focus. #invidious in the meantime is unfortunately almost useless. I miss #standardnotes #Threema, #magicearth, #KeepassDX, #strongbox.
Ended up switching back to #Osmand mostly because #MagicEarth doesn't listen to the map as much, especially for cycling. Osmand doesn't check public records for addresses but gets the routing done so much better it makes up for the lack of traffic data.
I've noticed when using #MagicEarth by #GeneralMagic, it really doesn't get that people on bicycles really don't want to ride on main roads without bicycle facilities or on steep hills, no matter what settings you give it.
Had to add favorites for major junctions on the cycleway network so I can add intermediates.
